Build your home or your vacation home in OCEANWEST. As with all housing in the town of Ucluelet, longer-term rental suites and bed & breakfasts are permitted. Some properties in OCEANWEST even allow nightly rentals.

Single-family affordable housing

OCEANWEST is an ideal community for families. Smaller, more affordable lots are clustered around cul-de-sacs adjacent to OCEANWEST’s tot park, the recently built ball field, and proposed community amenities. They’re set within old-growth forest yet close to Ucluelet’s schools and shopping.

Single-family lots 7,000 square feet or less will be offered for sale exclusively to local residents for 60 days before they are available to the general public.

Employee housing

OCEANWEST’s three hotel resorts will provide hundreds of jobs to locals and new residents. Since there’s a shortage of affordable housing in Ucluelet, OCEANWEST will require hotel operators to provide one employee housing unit for every 6.66 hotel units built. It will be the first official employee housing in Ucluelet, and will help draw hospitality employees from around the province and beyond.

Single-family luxury residences & vacation rentals

These vacation homes, many perched on the rocky shores of the Pacific Ocean, are a magnificent escape. Enjoy the coastal lifestyle within an established community setting where downtown’s amenities are just a short walk away. Lots range from small to large estates up to 1.25 acres (0.5 hectare) in size.

Live here seasonally or year-round. Vacation rentals can provide income or mortgage-helpers with daily or long-term rentals.

Guest houses

Mixed among the ocean view single-family luxury residences [link to section above] are OCEANWEST’s guest houses. There’s lots of room for creating a unique tourism experience on these large lots over one acre (0.4 hectare) in size.

Guest houses are really small boutique hotels and can have up to six suites in the main house and also four 500-square-foot cottages.

Resort condominiums

OCEANWEST’s upscale resort condominiums ease residents and travelers into the laid-back West Coast lifestyle. One condo area is adjacent to a new Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course  (under construction now), the only waterfront course along the entire West Coast of Vancouver Island.

Live here or invest in the condo units, which can be rented to guests nightly or long-term.

Multi-family housing

Residents can enjoy maintenance-free living in a picturesque setting at OCEANWEST. The community’s four multi-family locations onsite include grand oceanfront property, south-facing view property, and quiet forested areas near downtown amenities.

Hotel suites

At the absolute edge of the West Coast, guests can vacation in style at OCEANWEST’s three grand hotels. Each one will be situated on rocky outcroppings that reach into the Pacific and link to the Wild Pacific Trail.
